Renting a camera outside Stockholm — the price is the same everywhere

2 August 2026

The most common objection we hear from someone outside Stockholm is that renting "only works if you live in the city". That is true of most rental companies — most of them require you to collect and return in person, during office hours.

We ship. And the price is the same in Kiruna as in central Stockholm.

Fraktens fem fasta priser efter paketets storlek: 195, 295, 395, 595 och 795 kronor. Returfrakten ingår, hemleverans kostar 75 kronor mer per paket, och frakten blir aldrig mer än halva hyran.

Why distance costs nothing extra

PostNord does charge different amounts for different zones, and a parcel to northern Sweden does cost us more than one within Stockholm. We have chosen not to pass that difference on. The reason is simple: a price list that depends on your postcode cannot be understood until you are standing at checkout, and that is exactly the kind of surprise we designed out.

So we work out five fixed tiers by how big the box is, and charge the same everywhere. The cities subsidise the countryside slightly. That is a deliberate choice.

How it works

  • You pick an arrival day and a return day in the calendar on the product page. The arrival day is the day the equipment is at the service point or at your door.
  • You choose where the parcel goes — your door, a service point, a parcel locker or your letterbox. The options are PostNord’s real options for your postcode, with distance and opening hours.
  • The return is already booked when the parcel arrives. A QR code by SMS and email, and a letter in the box with the same code.
  • Home collection is included whichever way you chose to receive the delivery. If you do not want to carry a heavy parcel to a service point, you do not have to.

What actually limits you

Not geography, but the calendar. We hand the parcel to PostNord the day before your arrival day, and neither we nor they work at weekends or on public holidays. That is why the arrival day is always a Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday or Friday. Order from Göteborg on a Monday before 18:00 and the parcel is normally at your service point on the Wednesday.

Living further away does not mean more days in the price — the rental period is counted from the arrival day, not from when we shipped. You do not pay for the days in transit.

And if something goes wrong on the way

If the carrier delays the delivery, get in touch as soon as you see it, and we reduce the rental for the time you could not use the equipment. If the parcel arrives so late that you have already left on your trip, we can recall it and refund everything.

All-risk cover is included in every rental within Sweden, and transport damage is part of it — in both directions.
