About Flexfoto

Flexfoto was founded in 2023 and opened its doors in April 2024, run by a very small but passionate team.

It came out of a love of photography and out of discovering for ourselves how hard (read: impossible) it is to rent photo equipment in Sweden as a private individual — and as a business it is honestly not much easier, what with visiting physical shops and general faff. Buying every lens we wanted to try or needed for different shoots would have got far too expensive over time, which affected both the joy of shooting and the quality of the result, because we did not always have what we needed.

And then, as private individuals, thoughts like "imagine if I had had this lens" or "I really need this camera but it is not worth buying a new one just for this trip" made us take matters into our own hands and launch Flexfoto.

That is why Flexfoto has been open to private individuals from day one: you need no company and no F-tax certificate to rent from us. That was the hard part, and it is the part we made simple.

We offer the flexibility of renting online and having the products delivered and returned easily, without having to visit a physical shop. We want you to have access to the equipment you personally need to create the best possible result when you are out shooting!

We are doing this for the long haul. We are not interested in being bought up, and we neither want nor use venture capital. We are not profitable yet, but we are investing our own money in making it work.
